Welcome to Innovation Physical Therapy!

We are pleased to serve the Riverbend, Terwillegar, and South Edmonton communities! With more than 50 years of clinical and academic experience, we aim to deliver an elevated level of individualized physical therapy to our patients.

Since 2004, Innovation Physical Therapy has been working collaboratively with the various medical health professions in your community, and the response has been very positive. We have successfully established professional relationships with these respective medical health offices to serve you better.

The Physical Therapists at Innovation Physical Therapy come from extensive backgrounds in manual therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, and exercise/athletic therapy. Their experiences range from working with motor vehicle accident injuries, occupational rehabilitation injuries, and athletic injuries.

If you are experiencing orthopaedic dysfunctions due to a motor vehicle accident, occupational injury (including repetitive strain injuries), athletic injuries, and/or dysfunctions with activities of daily living, Physical Therapy may be appropriate for you. Innovation Physical Therapy does not have a closed practice so new patients are always welcome.

Accessing Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists have been considered Primary Health Professionals since 1995. As such, Physical Therapy may be accessed directly without a referral from your Physician. However, if you have an extended health care provider, the provider may still require a Physician’s referral to Physical Therapy before reimbursing your fees.

Innovation Physical Therapy is a private Medical Health facility. Access to Physical Therapy is available through these funding options:

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) – Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols/Section B Insurance
Extended Health Benefits/Personal Funding – Group Insurance Plans
Occupational Injury – Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) claim
Alberta Health Services Funding – Community Rehabilitation
